 The attached Review of the Institute’s progress since 2007 was presented by Dr Lawrie Reavill* to our Council at its meeting in October 2012.

 Some members may recall that in 2006 Dr Reavill was commissioned to take an independent look at the Institute and recommend options for its future direction. In January 2007 Council considered his recommendations and implemented a programme of change. The current Review looks at how successful, or otherwise, this programme has been.

 The Review is the culmination of months of discussion and consultation with individual members, Local Sections, staff and some of the Institute’s committees and groups. The points Dr Reavill has raised and the suggestions he has made are now being considered and all members are invited to comment on his findings.
